COCO NECTAR is not a Tender Coconut water. Coco Nectar is the sap collected hygienically from the spadix (Flower) of the coconut tree, chilled and tetra-packed. Coco Nectar is hygienically tapped and tetra-packed without preservatives with a shelf life of 12 months. Coco Nectar is collected by thermal Ice-box technology method and attached to the cut end of spadix for the collection of sap instead of the traditional earthen pot. It is a Novel method of collecting unfermented Coco Nectar and preserving its flavour and aroma without the use of preservatives. The sap from the cut end of the spadix directly trickles down to a container that is housed in the ice box. Ice cubes are placed around the sap collection container, which maintains the internal temperature at very low levels (2 to 30 C). Tapping is done twice a day in the morning and evening. Each time 1 to 2 mm spadix is sliced using a sharp knife. At a time, two to three spadix can be tapped simultaneously from a tree.

COCO NECTAR is stored in the freezer (-20o C) remains fresh and there is no change in pH of around 7. Coco Nectar is golden brown in color, sweet and delicious. Coco Nectar collected is Zero alcoholics, fresh and hygienic. Free from contamination by insects, ants, pollen and dust particles. Coco Nectar is ready to serve nature health drinks.

COCO NECTAR is collected and preserved by the method developed by CPCRI. Coco Nectar should be consumed within ½ an hour of opening because it is highly susceptible to natural fermentation at ambient temperature within a few hours due to natural yeasts in the air and once fermented, it transforms into toddy.
